Blind Date with a Book – $5.00 each
Support the Friends of the Oakdale Library with this fun and unique fundraiser! “Blind Date with a Book” invites you to discover a new story—no judging by the cover allowed. Each book is gently used, thoughtfully selected, and wrapped to surprise you.
Choose as many books as you’d like and enjoy the excitement of unwrapping your next great read!
After finishing your book, rate your “Blind Date” on the bookmark inside and return your review to the Oakdale Library by July 27, 2026 to be entered into a prize drawing.

Congratulations to Maureen Donham, the lucky winner of the Friends’ Blind Date With a Book drawing!
Friends President Sharon Arpoika presented Maureen with a certificate and a crisp $100 bill for a dinner date at the restaurant of her choice. Her “date”? The Daughter of Doctor Moreau by Silvia Moreno-Garcia—a mysterious and captivating read that Maureen described as “intriguing”. She said she’d definitely read more books like it!
