Annual Fund Drive

Because of your contributions –

• We now have our own website, friendsoakdalelibrary.org, to promote the Friends and how we support and fundraise for the Oakdale Library – OUR TREASURE!         
• We continued funding well-attended outdoor water play days, sidewalk chalk and bubbles play days, family game nights, and other craft programs.
• We provided funds to purchase books for the library collection or to give away as reading incentives.
• We helped staff booths at the Oakdale Morning Market and National Night Out event to promote the Oakdale Library.

We are launching a new enhancement project – a Mural, which will beautify the blank wall in the patio area and will honor those individuals who were extraordinarily committed and dedicated to “Being a Friend” of the Oakdale Library.

Coming soon – a Sewing Maker’s Space at the Oakdale Library. The Friends will provide several sewing machines, and volunteer Janet Steigerwald will teach a beginning sewing program.  She hopes to teach a series of three classes at least four times a year.  Watch the Friends Website and Library Calendar for details.
