Our Programs
The Friends of the Oakdale Library is a group dedicated to promoting the welfare and growth of the Oakdale Library in Oakdale, California. Here are some of the activities they’re involved in:
1000 Books
1000 Books Before Kindergarten Reading Challenge: Caregivers of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children are encouraged to read 1000 books to their little ones before they start kindergarten. This goal helps children learn to read for themselves.
Project Steam
Project STEAM Kits: The library offers new Project STEAM kits for all ages. These kits include books, activities, and digital resource sheets to engage users with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math concepts1.
Game Library
Borrow board games from the library’s game library to put your skills to the test. Board games are a fun way to develop reading, math, critical thinking, and other skills.
